Moved today? Yep. Despite working all day and having a class until 10pm. I boarded my elliptical.
Down to business...
I know that it is important to post my before shots. Gaining the sense of bravery that comes with making a personal challenge public has required me to muster a new sense of confidence. This has definitely been tested. I am feeling scared and shaken and timid about posting my before shots for a few different reasons. 1) Um...it's unflattering and exposing 2) it's tough to face that after years of working on myself, I still have a ways to go 3) there will inevitably be people who scoff and think my battle and goals aren't that big a deal since I am not obsese.
But, to Unconfident BB30 I must choose to say, "You're not welcome here! Look not at how far you have to go, but what a big deal it is that you are seeing something you don't like and are making efforts to fix it!"
So we go:
So we go:
BEFORE
So I bid you farewell doughy belly and saddle bags!
STARTING STATS:
Waist (at belly button): 33.5 inches
Hips: 39 inches
Arm: 11.75 inches around
Thigh: 23 inches around
Whew! I made it through the scary post!
So here she hangs in my closet waiting for me!
So here she hangs in my closet waiting for me!
Good for you for being so dadgom brave! I would never in a million years have the balls to do that -- and screw what naysayers think.
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud!! :)
WOW! Well, I think you look incredible,BUT I think it is sooo brave for you to come out like this and put your self out there. You're an inspiration. I can only imagine how awesome you will look in a year. GOOD LUCK-not that you need it.
ReplyDeleteThat suit is adorable! It is good to know what you are working from - so what are you working towards? Just a general feeling of self confidence? A 19 inch waist? (I'm going to tell you now that if Scarlett couldn't do it, none of us can.)
ReplyDelete@ Ellie-the goal is to become truly fit and feel personally confident with my physique(aka firm up, tone up, strengthen up and lose my doughy belly).
ReplyDeleteGirl, I think you look pretty hawt. I can't wait to see you in a year, you'll be like Heidi Klum (ohhhh, heidi). I'm so impressed at your gumption. Thanks for keeping me inspired!
ReplyDeleteGirl I give you props! I just stumbled upon your blog and you are such an inspiration to me! I am not overweight either, but I am by no means healthy or fit and I want to be around and kicking into my 90's!
ReplyDeleteI also took pictures of myself in a bikini in January hoping that it would be motivation for me... they are hiding somewhere on my computer... I think I will finally print them out and place them on my fridge, pantry, and TV that way when I see them I will be motivated to make the right food choices and to get up and move!!
Keep it up I can't wait to see your afters but cherish the journey because I have a feeling you will learn a lot about yourself and your hidden strengths!
@Christine: Thank you so much for your kind words!! I feel so supported by the lovely ladies of the blogisphere! I really appreciate the wonderful boost of motivation you've given me today!!
